At In Peace Counseling, LLC, we specialize in individual, family, and couples counseling. We understand it takes courage to ask for help. So what are the steps to starting therapy with us? Picking up the phone is sometimes the hardest part. We get it. So, we decided to give you a roadmap to what you can expect when starting counseling with us – just follow the steps below.

Step 1

Pick up the phone and give us a call at 248-252-2500, or if you’re not a phone person, send us an email at inpeacecounseling@gmail.com. 

If we are not in session, we will answer the phone or respond to your email right away. If we are in session, we will try to get back to you on the same day and give you a few options to set up our free 20-minute phone consultation.


Step 2

Set a time for a 20-minute chat to cover some important questions and learn about each other in order to make sure if we are the right fit.

If you decide to move forward, we will schedule your initial intake session and send you a link to our online paperwork. We ask that you please complete this paperwork before your first counseling session.


Step 3

The initial counseling session, also known as an intake, is focused on information gathering. We will explore what brings you in and where you want to be. There is a lot to cover so the first intake session is 75-minutes long. You will leave with an organized plan and hopefully some relief in getting started.
